Utility Electrical Consultants, P.C. (UEC) is a North Carolina based professional corporation providing engineering design and consulting services.  The primary expertise of UEC is power system engineering specifically adapted to the public power industry of municipal electric systems and rural electric cooperatives.  UEC also provides engineering services to universities and other owners of medium and high voltage electric systems.

 

UEC was established in August 1995 and is staffed by thoroughly experienced professional and technical personnel representing more than 100 years of engineering practice and application experience.  Key staff members bring a combination of depth and specialty application from previous consulting engineering environments.  All previous staff consulting experience has been in medium and high voltage systems for electric cooperatives, municipal electric systems and institutions.  Several of UEC’s engineers and technicians also contribute their perspective of the electric utility operating environment from prior years served with cooperatives, municipals and investor-owned utilities.
